Applications Now Open for the Ponta Lopud Jazz Festival!

Each year, the Ponta Lopud Jazz Festival invites young professional musicians from around the globe to take part in a transformative four-day musical experience. For its third edition, the Festival on the enchanting island of Lopud offers young jazz artists a unique opportunity to share experiences, ideas, and artistry with some of the biggest names in the music world.

The Festival accepts only two to three musicians per instrument. Carefully selected, outstanding young artists will engage in intensive daily masterclasses, evening concerts, late-night jam sessions, and a variety of special activities alongside guest mentors in a shared residency. Through music, dialogue, and the exchange of experiences, participants are given the opportunity to explore and deepen their artistry and refine their creative voice in a supportive, inspiring setting.

The application is free, with a symbolic participation fee of €200 for selected candidates. The Festival fully covers accommodation in shared rooms for four nights, three meals per day, all workshops, concerts, and festival activities. Participants are responsible only for their travel expenses.

Eligible applicants must be professional musicians whose primary income comes from music, have a high level of musical training, and be credited on at least one professionally released recording. As the Jazz Festival is designed for professional jazz artists seeking to take their artistry to the next level, the program is not open to undergraduate students or hobbyists.

All interested artists who meet the requirements can apply until July 1, 2025, via the provided link.

The Ponta Lopud creative platform presents three summer culture programs in 2025 and welcomes all art lovers, primarily of film, music, and literature. The Ponta Lopud Film Festival is the first of the three events and will celebrate cinematic art from June 26 to 28. The second event, which will attract music lovers from August 28 to 30, is the popular Ponta Lopud Jazz Festival, while the Ponta Lopud Book Bridge, taking place from September 18 to 20, will turn the island into a literary haven, rounding off the summer events.
