Gault&Millau Croatia x Ponta Lopud Festival

A festival dedicated to film – Ponta Lopud, held on the magical island of Lopud near Dubrovnik, hosts four G&M Croatia-awarded chefs, who will prepare exclusive dinners for Oscar winning actors and filmmakers

The Ponta Lopud Gourmet offers its guests a unique opportunity to taste some of the most exciting dishes of the Croatian cuisine. The renowned guest chefs and the chefs of local restaurants will combine the best products from the sea and land and prepare four-hands dinners. Modern versions of traditional dishes with Mediterranean flavours will be served with selected wines from the south of Dalmatia, particularly the Komarna vineyards. An unforgettable gastronomic experience at the seafront restaurants will add to the magic of film viewing under the stars, which will take place on the beach of the RMH Lopud Lafodia Resort & Wellness.

A special welcome dinner for the guests of the Ponta Lopud Festival will be prepared by Marijo Curić, chef of the Restaurant 360 in Dubrovnik (G&M Croatia Trophy for the best restaurant in 2021 and 2022 and Michelin*) and will be served with wines from Saints Hills winery.

 

 

Dinners at Lopud restaurants

Each night a different chef will prepare the dinner at local restaurants. The price of the dinner (five to six courses) with wine pairings is 750 kn. Tables can be booked through the website of each restaurant.

Chef Branimir Tomašić – Restaurant Mala Hiža, Čakovec: Gault & Millau Croatia Chef of the Traditional Cuisine Trophy 2018, Michelin plate, and chef Ivo Frka – Restaurant Obala, LopudWines by Terra Madre, Komarna vineyards, and the guest winery Štampar. A boat line connects Dubrovnik (Port of Gruž) with the island of Lopud several times each day. For the duration of the Festival an additional boat transfer will be available.

The boat Argosy will depart at 6 pm from Port Gruž and back from Lopud to Gruž at midnight. The ride lasts about an hour. Join us for an unforgettable trip to the world of film and local cuisine on this magical island.
