Dubrovnik-Neretva County Prefect Nikola Dobroslavić and his associate Žaklina Marević received Tilda Grossel Bogdanović and Mirsad Purivatra, founders of the Ponta Lopud Festival, who introduced him to the rich program for this five-day event.
They emphasised a special part of the international program intended for film professionals, supported by the SFF Cinelink industrial platform and offering a series of masterclasses led by Oscar winner Pawel Pawlikowski, one of the most important directors of today and winner of various film awards, including the above-mentioned Oscar in 2013. During three masterclasses, Pawlikowski will work intensively with fifteen exceptionally talented actors and directors from the region and the world, the future stars of the regional cinema. They were selected through an official invitation by the Ponta Lopud Festival. In addition, the Festival offers open-air screenings of films selected by Pawel Pawlikowski and shown at spectacular locations on the island of Lopud and that are open to the public. Mr Dobroslavić thanked the organizers and emphasized how delighted he was to hear that the island of Lopud was chosen as the Festival venue and that he believed it would soon occupy a significant place on the map of important film-related events across Europe. He is especially pleased with the promotion of this beautiful island, brought to it through the Ponta Lopud Festival.
